Public transportation is available, with a light rail station at Embarcadero and Sansome. The Powell Mason Cable Car line is just a few blocks away.

Pioneer Park dates from the 1870s. The land was purchased by local businessmen and given a name honor early settlers. Coit Tower, built in the 1930s, sits in the four-acre park. It can be climbed for great views of San Francisco Bay and beyond.
