The San Francisco Bay Area is 2 hours away via Highway 80 west, or a leisurely ride on Amtrak can be arranged at Sacramento’s downtown train station. Nearby Highway 50 east leads to Sierra ski areas and to to Lake Tahoe. Highway 80 east leads to more Sierra Ski and recreation areas.
