Baristo is located in zip code 92262, and is bounded by East Arenas Road on the north, South Sunrise Way on the east, East Ramon Road on the south and North Calle El Segundo on the west. One of the highlights of living in Baristo is the Palm Springs Stadium. Home to the Palm Springs Power baseball team and a member of the Southern California Collegiate Baseball Association, the 5,185-seat stadium hosts a wide variety of baseball games.

Baristo Park sits right outside of the community to the west. This small park has a large multi-use area perfect for field sports, and offers dogs a place to roam.

Golfers can tee off at the Fairchilds Golf Course, which lies just outside of the community to the southeast. This nine-hole course, which opened in 1972, features rolling greens and fairways, as well as multiple water hazards. The club also offers tennis courts.
