Flower Park is a neighborhood in Santa Ana California. The northern border of the neighborhood is Civic Center Drive West, the eastern boundary is North Flower Street, the south West First Street and the west North Bristol Street. Flower Park is located directly northwest of downtown.
This is a very diverse neighborhood. It includes a little of everything. There are some small residential streets with sidewalks and one and two-story single family homes. There are also four-lane busy streets that have a mix of commercial businesses and restaurants. There are apartments and also several parking garages.
Condo complexes in the neighborhood are reasonably priced at $130,000 for a two bedroom, 2.5 bath unit with 960 square feet built in the 1970s or 80s. A one bedroom, one bath unit can be had for under $70,000 in a gated community with a pool. Some of the single-family homes in the neighborhood date from the early 1900s and the 1920s. Most of them are in the bungalow style.
Among the businesses in the Flower Park Neighborhood are a Walgreens Pharmacy, Seven Eleven and a Jack in the Box. There is bus service in the neighborhood. The local elementary school is Carver Elementary and is located right outside the neighborhood on West Santa Ana Boulevard.
Santa Ana Municipal Stadium is known locally as the Bowl and it is a 10,000 seat stadium that serves the local communities as a venue for high school and college football games. It is over forty years old and still going strong. It is also used as a concert and graduation venue.
Angels Community Park is a neighborhood park that is two acres of open fields, a playground and a picnic area. There is also a baseball diamond.
