Burbank, CA Apartments for Rent

When dentist Dr. David Burbank arrived to a particularly sunny section of California in 1867, he purchased about 4,600 acres to build a sheep ranch. He was quite successful in his ranching venture and began investing in real estate around Los Angeles. But he probably had no idea that the town eventually named for him would become the “Media Capital of the World.”

Moving to an apartment in Burbank will put you 12 miles from downtown Los Angeles and a few short miles from Hollywood. The city is home to a wide range of production companies, including Warner Bros. Entertainment, ABC Studios, Walt Disney Company, NBC, and Nickelodeon. Studio tours, of course, are one of the most popular things to do in Burbank; after choosing your apartment here, be sure to check them out for a rare glimpse behind the Hollywood scene. When you are looking for something entertaining – and free – to do, you can even be part of a “live studio audience” for the taping of a popular sitcom or talk show.

Of course, there’s more to do in Burbank than check out the movie studios. With its lush valleys and rugged mountain peaks – not to mention endless sunshine – outdoor activities range from golfing to biking and from swimming to hiking. Be sure to check out the two-mile Chandler Bike Path, go horseback riding at the 75-acre Los Angeles Equestrian Center, go skateboarding at Burbank Valley Park, or try zip-lining at Brace Canyon Park. Hike to the top of the ridge at Wildwood Canyon Park for spectacular views of Burbank and downtown LA.

Beautiful downtown Burbank is the place to go for terrific shops and restaurants. From cozy to trendy, you’ll find everything you want here. After your meal, top it off with a teacake or cappuccino at Martino’s Bakery – a staple in downtown Burbank since 1926. And if live music and nightlife is more your speed, be sure to check out the Blue Room Bar, the Burbank Bar & Grill, and the Snug. When you’re in the mood to laugh, head to the Flappers Comedy Club. You’ll always have plenty to see and do when you move to your new apartment in Burbank!
