Encino, CA Apartments for Rent

Some believe that Encino was named for a 1,000-year-old oak tree that used to stand in the heart of the city (Encino is Spanish for evergreen). When the Encino oak tree began to grow, the Mayan Empire was just beginning to crumble and the Vikings were pillaging. When Europeans first arrived to Encino in 1769, the tree was about 700 years old. Sadly, the tree was toppled by a storm in 1998, although the stump still remains.

It almost sounds like a Hollywood movie script, and with Encino’s location in the San Fernando Valley on the northwest side of Beverly Hills, it could be. Encino is part of the Los Angeles metro area, and it is a very popular location – for movies, for television shows, and for famous residents. When you rent an Encino apartment, you’ll be living in the same community that people such as David Hasselhoff, Clark Gable, Britney Spears, Al Jolson, Annette Funicello, David Grohl, Edgar Rice Burroughs, the Jacksons, John Wayne, Johnny Carson, Lisa Kudrow, Richard Prior, Ron Howard, Tom Petty, and Maria Menounos once called (or still call) home.

Once you rent an apartment in Encino, you’ll be where the action is – both cinematically and figuratively speaking. You’ll enjoy a busy, high-energy area known for its world-class shopping, dining, nightlife, theaters, museums, and attractions. Visit Los Encinos State Historic Park near the famed Ventura Boulevard and enjoy a picnic and a tour of the Rancho Los Encinos, a 19th century adobe. Play golf or tennis at the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, which also includes bike paths, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and a lake.
