Bounded by East 5th Street on the north, East Broadway Boulevard on the south, Wilmot Road on the east, and Craycroft Road on the west, the Sewell neighborhood in Tucson is inhabited by roughly 1,810 residents.

According to Walk Score, a Web site that ranks walkable neighborhoods throughout the United States, Sewell ranked No. 17 among other walkable Tucson neighborhoods. With a score of 76, Sewell is considered to be a ”very walkable” neighborhood.

While Sewell does not have a park within the neighborhood, there are parks a few blocks away from next-door neighborhoods, such as Harold Bell Wright Park in the El Gheko neighborhood, Twenty Thirty Park in Highland Vista Cinco Via, and Wilshire Heights Park in Wilshire Heights neighborhood.

Parents of school-age children have the convenience of several schools nearby. Desert Sky Community School nurtures children from kindergarten through fifth grade and is located on 122 North Craycroft Road. W Arthur Sewel Elementary School is located on 425 North Sahuara Avenue. Saint Joseph Catholic School on 215 South Craycroft Road offers classes up to eighth grade. Abbie Loveland Tuller School, educating children since 1955, caters to children with a wide range of developmental needs, from kingergarten up to eighth grade. Vail High School is also nearby, conveniently located at 5350 East 16th Street.

Several retail businesses line up on East Broadway Boulevard. Park Mall, just a few blocks away, provides an incredible selection of stores and dining opportunities. A movie theater is located inside the Park Place Mall. The Burcham Plaza Shopping Center, off the corner of East 5th Street and North Craycroft Road, is another shopping area a few blocks away.

The Kindred Spirit Hospital on 355 North Wilmot Road is a well known specialty hospital providing long-term care for medically complex and critically ill patients.
