San Domingo Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The San Domingo Neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, in the 85749 zip code, is broken into three sections. The sections share the dry bank that leads from the Santa Catalina Mountains down to the Agua Caliente Wash. The northern and southern sections are on the west side of the wash, with the larger middle section alone on the east side.
There is plenty of activity to keep all the residents of San Domingo entertained. The Arizona National Golf Course to the north was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and is a formidable 6,785-yard course that follows the local landscape. For relaxation, the Agua Caliente Regional Park to the east is full of great scenery and is also the host for the Tucson Audubon Society.
The Forty-Niner Golf Club is a design by the artist William Bell. Located south of the neighborhood, construction began in 1951, finally reached ten acres by the time of completion in early 1961. The Madera Village Shopping Plaza to the west is the home of the local GNC, Dollar Tree and Blockbuster Video Store.
