The north part of Tucson has new and upscale malls, such as La Encantada and Foothills Mall. A more traditional mall, Tucson Mall, has major retailers and is located about 10 miles south.

Tucson’s major educational institutions and entertainment areas are a short drive south. The vast campus of the University of Arizona, serving more than 35,000 students, brings excitement to town. For entertainment, the historic Rialto Theater and the Tucson Convention Center offer diverse programs, from flamenco to jazz to Broadway, and most everything in between.
