Green Ridge is a community in Tanque Verde, roughly 12 miles northeast of downtown Tucson and near the Catalina Foothills. Green Ridge is situated in the 85749 ZIP code. Like most of the Tucson area, it falls within Pima County.

The Green Ridge neighborhood consists of just a few streets north of East Prince Road and east of North Houghton Road. These include East Sonoran Vista Trail, Mesquite Knoll Place, Avenida De La Colina, and Avenida Del Otero. Just over three dozen home sites can be found along these streets, which create three neighborhood cul-de-sacs. The homes in this fairly affluent neighborhood are large and well spaced on ample lots.

Beautiful views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and the city below are big draws of the Green Ridge area, as is proximity to outdoor recreation options. The nearby Santa Catalina Natural Area offers hiking, camping, nature viewing, and picnic options, among other amenities, but there are some neighborhood parks closer to home that feature more traditional amenities. For example, the McDonald District Park is within a mile to the northwest of the Green Ridge neighborhood and offers a variety of playing fields, a fenced-in dog park, playground area, basketball court, and sand volleyball court. There is ample parking there as well.

Residents of Green Ridge enjoy the best of both worlds. While the surroundings are beautiful, and the natural areas are plentiful, many commercial offerings serve the area as well. Of course, when the city lights call, the downtown Tucson area is less than 30 minutes away and offers plenty to see and do.
