The Gibson neighborhood is situated in Flowing Wells, Arizona, approximately 10 miles northwest of downtown Tucson. Gibson is situated in the 85705 zip code area, within Pima County. Some of the neighboring communities include Flores Villas, Shamrock Manor, Tucsonita, and Sunrise.

This primarily residential community is conveniently situated just east of Interstate 10, which provides easy access to much of the city. The neighborhood is north of West Ruthrauff Road and west of North Kain Avenue. It is comprised primarily of a mobile home community, a few single-family homes, and some industrial/commercial lots. The major roadways in the area provide easy access to a variety of commercial offerings, including restaurants, bars, shops, and lodging options.

A fairly large expanse of mostly undeveloped parkland can be found to the west of Gibson, just on the other side of the interstate. Here, you’ll find Silverbell Regional Park surrounding Silverbell Lake, as well as the Sweetwater Wetlands Park. The Silverbell Golf Course can also be found here.

South of the neighborhood is the Flowing Wells Jr. High School Park, which offers a variety of baseball and softball fields overlapped by football and soccer fields, as well as five basketball courts and six tennis courts. The park’s primary purpose is to serve the school, but the amenities are enjoyed by the public as well.
