The South Crichton neighborhood is bounded on the north by Spring Hill Avenue; on the west by Sage Avenue, both North and South; to the South by Airport Boulevard, also known as County Road 56; and on the east by Florida Street, both North and South. Most of this Alabama community’s physical layout follows the modern subdivision design, offering limited access to residences on low-traffic streets.

Two of Mobile’s neighborhood parks offer recreation options to neighborhood residents. Sage Park, also known as Herndon Park, has two soccer fields and one football field and also offers softball and baseball. Visitors will also find a pavilion and restrooms in the park. The much-smaller Denton Park is equipped with picnic tables and a children’s playground and also has a pavilion.

South Crichton is adjacent to the Midtown Shopping Center and is close to I-85. A railway intersects the neighborhood at an angle from its northwest corner down to the southwest at a point a little more than half a mile from its southern border.

The Bel Air Mall Shopping Center is a short drive away from the South Crichton neighborhood, as are the University of South Alabama Medical Center, Saint Rickerby Park, Hannan Park, Ladd Memorial Stadium, Harmon Park, Mobile Festival Centre, and Matthews Park.
