Di Grado is a rural, residential neighborhood located approximately 10 miles southwest of downtown Mobile, Alabama. A majority of the homes within Di Grado are single-family, ranch-style dwellings.

Di Grado is bounded by Cottage Hill Road to the north, Schillinger Road South to the west, and Sollie Road to the east. To the south of Di Grado is the Travis neighborhood. In the southern portion of Di Grado is the Wynnridge Drive and Dal Segno Drive area which is excluded from the Di Grado boundaries.

To the northeast, about 2.5 miles, from Di Grado is Cottage Hill Park. This large facility offers Di Grado residents several recreational options. This scenic park has various athletic fields, tennis courts, a children’s playground, picnic areas, and a walking path. The smaller Laun Park is about a 10-minute drive to the west of Di Grado. Children particularly enjoy Laun Park for the wading pool on hot summer days. Laun Park also offers a basketball court, baseball field, and picnic areas.

Di Grado is within the 36695 zip code area of Mobile County. O’Rourke Elementary School is located approximately 1.5 miles to the northwest of Di Grado. Burns Middle School is to the southeast, also about 1.5 miles. Davidson High School is about four miles to the northeast of Di Grado.

One of the closer shopping areas for Di Grado residents is located at the northwest corner of the neighborhood. Residents are only minutes away from various stores, dining facilities, pharmacies, and small businesses at the intersection of Cottage Hill Road and Schillinger Road South. In the northeast corner near the Cottage Hill Road and Sollie Road intersection are more businesses, pharmacies, and convenient stores along with a pocket of insurance businesses.

Just a few miles to the east of Di Grado is a busy area containing health facilities. Located east of Hillcrest Road and west of Knollwood Drive are Baypointe Hospital and Infirmary West Hospital.
